Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park
Have you been to a national park recently? The answer is most likely ‘no.’ If that’s the case, then yes, you have missed out on some incredible scenery. This is especially the case if you had an interest in visiting Yellowstone National Park or Great Smokey Mountains National Park. However, Great Smokey Mountains National Park isn’t for everyone. If you can’t handle windy roads, you will not be able to enjoy yourself – regardless of the beauty. And if you have an interest in Yellowstone National Park, get in line. This might sound harsh, but the crowds at Yellowstone are so large that they now need to take reservations. The good news is that there’s a park that offers more beauty than both of these parks combined, and you will not find overcrowding. This is Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada.

Jasper National Park has about 2 million visitors per year. Since the park covers over 4,200 miles, the amount of visitors is not an issue. You will find yourself with more than enough room to roam. There are many things to do in Jasper National Park, which include hiking, kayaking, fishing, and camping. But what most people visit Jasper National Park for is the incredible scenery.

Jasper National Park
One of the best spots in Jasper National Park is Whistlers Mountain. From the peak of Whistlers Mountain, you can see crystal-clear lakes, winding rivers, ice-capped mountains, and the town of Jasper. Another great spot in the park is Sunwapta Falls. This is a majestic location, where strong water flows down at a 45-degree angle. At the top of the falls is a small island in the center of the river, which adds to the beauty of the scene. If you have an interest in spotting wildlife, such as bighorn sheep, elk, caribou, or even grizzly bears, be sure to take a trip to Medicine Lake. And if you want to travel a highway with snow-covered mountains all around you, drive on the Icefields Parkway.

If you’re planning a trip to Jasper National Park, be sure to book it for several days. There is a lot to see.
